this woman really looked me in the eye and asked if we could bake 2 cookies fresh for her…. 💀
she said she knew it would be a wait, but that she didn’t mind. i explained to her that our cookies aren’t made fresh, (explained thawing process) and i’m pretty sure i crushed her entire universe. she said her old store down the street would always do it for her? were those mfs just making this lady wait longer for the same old frozen cookies? 😭😭

“Another store does it for me,” is really the go to thing people say when they know what they’re asking for is ridiculous.
Also like of the awful customers we have like 97% will use the ‘other store’ card
And I’m not saying I don’t believe them but,,,,

i haven't worked at the siren long enough to experience this but if i did, i would have two responses (i already work a second job and there's two locations within less than a mile from each other so we always get people coming back saying, "well they did it for me at the other store")

As a BN cafe barista, can confirm we bake our cookies. And people WILL ask for you to bake them a fresh tray. My manager is always like “sure, it’ll be an hour, that cool?” And It’s usually too long a wait for them lmao.

Hahaha yeaaahh they're just cookie dough pucks. And the cakes come pre baked. The value cakes are pre baked and pre base frosted any extra designs the decorators add.

Back before the put in the heaters, some people legit thought we spent all night baking pastries, lmao. “Ma’am do you see flour? Do see an oven?no, we don’t make anything in house”

I miss those days. Although cleaning the pastry case was a nightmare as we served out of them. That was back in 08 if I remember correctly.

They weren’t too bad, but it was easy for lazy or rushed closers to not be good about getting crumbs out and shit.
The worst part is you can either break it down early and take longer to serve customers or wait until near close and now that’s mostly what one person is doing after the doors are locked.
The mid day turnover could be quick but usually take forever because the SM is doing it. If the DM is visiting, it will take the entire mid while they get and keep it “perfect.”
This company has had its head up its ass when it come priorities for decades, lol.
