Anyone else confused about their raise? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by LZARDKING
I’m a tenured partner and I only got a 1% raise? Anyone else?
collinscreen 70 points 1y ago
Yes, which is why we need to fight to bring back workplace democracy to this country. Follow @SBWorkersUnited

We…we got a raise ..?
willywankaz432 1 points 1y ago
Haha they told us we are getting a raise nationally right before Halloween I believe
sunflowercupcakee 43 points 1y ago
I am a 14***** and didn’t get jack shit. Even if I had received a 10% raise, I still wouldn’t be at $15. Called PCC and they acted like they never heard of a raise
elodieme1 11 points 1y ago
Not even at $15? Where are you at???
Asleep-Individual-15 18 points 1y ago
Unless it’s like California, New York, Washington, or Illinois most Starbucks workers made below $15. I personally make $12 in Texas.
elodieme1 5 points 1y ago
Denver is at like $15 to start, as a 241 (and 2 year shift) I'm at $21. It's crazy, especially considering how expensive some cities in Texas are
Asleep-Individual-15 6 points 1y ago
Oh absolutely it’s wild! The average rent in DFW, TX is between $1200-1600. Which is almost equivalent to what a barista would make after taxes working a full 40 hours every week all month (which they never give 40 hours anyways). The average starting wage for all similar jobs in this area is $14-15/hour. So I don’t understand why Starbucks is dragging their feet.

I was actually crying on the phone with pcc and there was just no sympathy. I can’t do this anymore
elodieme1 4 points 1y ago
I'm so sorry. I can't blame you, it's absolutely absurb. I could have sworn they said it'd be $15 at the minimum, but I've also heard rumors they were pushing that to the summer. I wouldn't be surprised if they give the tenure raises and bring everyone to $15, removing those raises
interyx 6 points 1y ago
Rumors? It was announced up front that there would be a seniority bump in January and then by the summer it would be $15 minimum.

They’re just trying to keep you longer with promise of a higher raise *eventually*. Uhg
Select_Swordfish_603 20 points 1y ago
You guys are getting raises?
kitcat1210 10 points 1y ago
Where can we see our raise?
LZARDKING [OP] 23 points 1y ago
My boss just told me the other day. Everyone else got over a dollar and I got 18¢
swollemolle 1 points 1y ago
It was my understanding that it was supposed to be that everyone was getting bumped up to 15 and tenured would get an extra 1-5%
haydensidun 7 points 1y ago
Yeah. It’s barely enough to notice.

Have fun with your 15 cents.
jaxelliott 6 points 1y ago
Is there a way to see your hourly rate without clicking on past paycheck on partner hub??
LZARDKING [OP] 6 points 1y ago
Your manager should inform you of any pay changes
jaxelliott 2 points 1y ago
Oh cool thank you lol I was looking everywhere
Soulwish13 6 points 1y ago
We should be getting a raise today
Sassycamo39 1 points 1y ago
What state are you in?
Soulwish13 1 points 1y ago
Ohio

My district got approved for a $1 raise. But not everyone got one. I have been at my store for over a year and a half, and I am now a trainer so I get paid more slightly. But it’s not enough. I’m not quitting, but I am seeking out full time employment elsewhere (which to be fair, was bound to happen with the whole college graduation thing), but the whole dangling $15 in front of my face saying that it’ll be mine soon when it isn’t alongside the telling me I was next in line at my store to become a shift, having all of my shifts, SM, and ASM tell me I should be one, then submitting my application only to get overlooked for TWO people (one who literally has quit every couple of months the entire time they’ve worked at my store and the other one who has only worked at starbs for 7 months) is REALLLLLYYYY getting old quick. So… I’m one foot out the door tbh.
XMyshelX 2 points 1y ago
You get paid extra to be a trainer? Like hourly? I’ve been a trainer for 9 years and I get a bonus when I train a new partner nothing else
dazedinreverse 4 points 1y ago
Is it national or certain locations that are getting it?
Both_Ad3860 4 points 1y ago
only certain locations i think
WesternEvery1779 3 points 1y ago
It's a pay increase for long term partners not making a certain amount over the starting pay. I think 2+ years need to be 5% over starting pay and 5+ years need to be 10% over starting pay. The details were posted on the Hub.
[deleted] 1 points 1y ago
Where exactly on the hub?
itachisbigbootygf 3 points 1y ago
Apparently I’m not getting one bc I haven’t worked for more than 2 years, that’s what my SM said.
panrosecass 0 points 1y ago
you should be getting one because everyone is getting one, i’ve been at starbucks for 7 months and i’m getting one.
Both_Ad3860 2 points 1y ago
only in certain markets as far i know
panrosecass 1 points 1y ago
that trash
rubberboss1 3 points 1y ago
193xxxx, I got nothing
LZARDKING [OP] 6 points 1y ago
This is bullshit! A bunch of my coworkers got like 8% raises? Who’ve been here way less time than me???
Wineydoob 2 points 1y ago
I heard the raises weren't going into effect u til the pay cycle of 1/24 and then the big bump was happening in early Summer. Patience is hard when you have bills to pay
panrosecass 2 points 1y ago
i’m at 13 now but i believe these are the raises we were supposed to get this summer and they’re doing tenure raises after. but also they could just be fucking us over so who tf knows :-)
LeatherTurnip1224 3 points 1y ago
Yeah same here I got a bumped to 13/hr, but that’s because I haven’t been working at Starbucks for a I think like 2 years or more they said. People who have been got a bigger increase
TarantulaTeeth13 2 points 1y ago
I think they’re bumping everyone to $15, but if you’re already over $15, maybe it’s just a %?
LZARDKING [OP] 3 points 1y ago
Nope. Bunch of my shifts went from like $18.50 to $20.
healthypenguins 2 points 1y ago
Not every store will ve bumped to 15 until the summer. Some have been starting starting the 24th, but it's based on cost of living.

The tenured raises are meant to be over the market rate, not current pay rate. So most tenured partners wont see a full 5-10% raise.
mtrate 1 points 1y ago
What state are you in?

IL
Any-Afternoon1558 1 points 1y ago
i got a raise when i first started there last year around september maybe october? and i’m getting paid 17.45 ;O
Thee_Lizard_Head 1 points 1y ago
Must be the tenured bump. 149×××× here and I went up $1.77/hr.
LZARDKING [OP] 1 points 1y ago
Whaaaaat? I would kill for a $1.75 raise
Gameb0i6 1 points 1y ago
I’m in CA and I got a $1 raise.
Sassycamo39 1 points 1y ago
In California 298xxxx And a SSV and I didn’t get anything.
lunarena11 1 points 1y ago
The January raise is supposed to be for tenured partners. Looks of your numbers you just passed a year not too long ago.
Tania1290 1 points 1y ago
I got a good raise but I’m in California so I was checking out what other partners make in States like Florida and it is just awful!
Sassycamo39 2 points 1y ago
I love in California and didn’t get anything
Tania1290 1 points 1y ago
You should talk to your SM! We all got a raise at our store.
mtrate 1 points 1y ago
So is Florida not getting the tenured % raise in January?
marissaalexis 1 points 1y ago
I didn't get a raise. I'm 253....
LZARDKING [OP] 1 points 1y ago
Yup 229 here

Christyawn 1 points 1y ago
in an update a couple months ago there’s a raise for tenured partners for a small percentage. in the summer all baristas will get raised to fifteen an hour and shifts will get raised 27% more than 15/hr. that’s what i read at least but who knows in this day and age.
healthypenguins 2 points 1y ago
That's mostly still accurate. Some districts are receiving the pay bump early because the cost of living demands it. (I work in Dallas for example, and I was hired at 9.50 in 2019).
