I got yelled at today because our sticker machine jammed for the 20th time this shift and while i was doing bar solo i didn’t notice. I go over to a girl to ask what her drink was once i do notice and she’s pissed off yelling at me saying i don’t look busy and i apologize and try and explain what happened but she keeps talking over me. I can’t force people to understand if they won’t want to, but it bothered me how she kept talking over me. Even when I politely suggested next time to go to POS because I can’t see over the bar. Night shift is too constantly understaffed afro me to be bitched at and take it. so i returned the attitude. and i don’t regret it

I'll never understand this behavior at all. Why do people think it's okay to do this.

walking away has to be an answer

being nice was an answer too but they didn’t choose it

i agree but let’s leave the door open to walk away too

and i did after i tried to be polite. that was my whole “attitude” part. walking away and ignoring them is my whole thing if they’re rude to me. but i had to make their drink so i had to walk back anyways
