I will never understand cf on a hot drink :’) she complained about it melting into the drink too. Omg (i.redd.it)

Tell that bitch that’s how temperature works. Honestly when they want vsccf in a hot drink, I don’t even blend it, just will pour the sc in the drink.
kennsnaps 31 points 1y ago
I also do this 😂 I feel slightly less evil now
PluralPaul 7 points 1y ago
It charges a dollar be it a splash of sweet cream or cold foam so why not? 👀👀
Due-Ear8105 13 points 1y ago
Smart idea 😭
4shotsin 3 points 1y ago
Told my co-workers this. They were aghast. Smdh. Apparently they don't understand how it works either.
Necessary_Low939 2 points 1y ago
😑 let them be
purseEffphony 43 points 1y ago
Im having difficulty understanding the point of stevia in that drink with all the add-ons and extra syrups...
Due-Ear8105 34 points 1y ago
I think this everytime someone gets stevia after like 7 pumps of syrup
champshere 23 points 1y ago
Honestly love when someone adds cf just to stir it in right after. We should get some kind of bonus when people use cf lmao imagine how profitable vsccf is
DisproportionateRug 18 points 1y ago
Won’t let me post a pic but let me just type out this order we got the other day:
Vt trad misto
Nonfat (so far, not bad)
Caramel drizzle
Extra foam
Van Sc Cld Fm
7 stevia
Salted caramel cf
5 pumps sf vanilla
6 shots
😭😭😭
st0nkb0nk 15 points 1y ago
Pls two different cold foams AND extra foam bitch just go take a gulp of air outside you'll get the same effect 💀
rennitz 3 points 1y ago
Yall we get a woman (VERY nice lady honestly)... venti iced matcha, 8 scoops matcha, pumpkin foam (now sccf) ON THE BOTTOM ("It'sokay if it floats to the top"), vsccf on top, and I think caramel walls and whip? Like this is a regular drink she gets 1-2 times a week. Gag me.
Buttafly_360 2 points 1y ago
Ahhh I screamed🤣🤣🤣💯💯💯
NervosaNervous 9 points 1y ago
We have someone who orders a venti trad misto with coconut milk, 12 pumps of white mocha, and 12 shots. There’s no room for pike by the time the shots are done.
diphenhydranautical 3 points 1y ago
12 shots?! how much does that drink cost 😭
Buttafly_360 3 points 1y ago
Jesus Christ 🤦🏽‍♀🤦🏽‍♀
Due-Ear8105 9 points 1y ago
I love the stevia to try and balance out all the other massive amounts of sugar 😭
Pyra_Vale 12 points 1y ago
I had a lady make me reheat her drink because the CF she asked for made her drink cold and “she didn’t ask for a cold drink” 🤷‍♀️
Due-Ear8105 7 points 1y ago
…….i..i…Literally no words
vanessaleilaa 5 points 1y ago
i tell people the texture gets weird and some of the other girls at my store tell people it “curdles” so we don’t have to deal with that stupidity 🤷🏻‍♀️😂
JavaWasp 5 points 1y ago
Ok, Samantha.
borrowedurmumsvcard 4 points 1y ago
i’ve been telling people we can’t. I refuse. I say oh “unfortunately we can’t put cold foam on hot drinks it’ll just melt”
BothWeb1004 3 points 1y ago
PSA: Cold foam does not curdle in hot drinks. Vanilla sweet cream, whipped cream, and sweet cream cold foam do not curdle when you put on hot coffee. Neither does HC, 10% cream, nor milk. What put this in American partners heads?
Voxxyvoo 0 points 1y ago
we know. we say it does because the word 'curdle' makes the mouthbreathers accept what we're trying to explain to them
BothWeb1004 1 points 1y ago
The Irish Cream Americano in Canada had cold foam. I guess Starbucks Canada and Canadians that enjoyed it are, mouth breathers?
Voxxyvoo 0 points 1y ago
Sure why not if we’re going for semantics
diphenhydranautical 2 points 1y ago
i’ve heard it cools down the drink a little and acts as a superior whipped cream. i haven’t tried it but i’m not against it
Due-Ear8105 2 points 1y ago
Ok I can get behind this idea however the complaining about the foam melting in is. A bit much
Big_Butterscotch4412 2 points 1y ago
Why would you get light foam on anything! That’s $1.25 and I will get all I can take 🥲
IcyColdBrew 2 points 1y ago
That's the realm crime! Any amount of light cold foam on a drink is going to melt very quickly. IQs have seriously dropped since I've been with this company. Thank you technology!
CoffeeQueen2006 2 points 1y ago
Cuz science
ad9581 2 points 1y ago
I feel like an alchemist when I do those drinks. Maybe separate the hot alm. foam for a sec so it cools. Then add a thin layer ontop of the xtra hot liquid. Then add the cold foam? 🤣 I just pour it right in if its the regular temp 🤷
smagaudet 2 points 1y ago
OHHHH my god nothing grinds my gears more than this. The amount of times I’ve explained to customers that the foam isn’t foam consistency on their hot beverage bc it’s melted away/drink isn’t hot only to have them disregard what I said & ask to have it remade-makes me wanna rip my hair out. Just ask for a splash of sweet cream🤣
bluezuzu 2 points 1y ago
That’s when you just pour in sweet cream 😌
copicking 2 points 1y ago
We have one regular at my store that always mobile orders a Pike with cold foam & then gets mad when the cold foam makes the drink too cool 😀
Impressive-Aide-9924 2 points 1y ago
I’m pretty sure cf on a hot drink is something that reserve stores do
dthomp0806 1 points 1y ago
What's the difference between whip cream on a hot drink and this? I never understand why people think this is weird or pointless.
tenthwalker 2 points 1y ago
Because of the extra labor it requires and the fact that most people ordering it do not understand the basic science of hot and steamy drink + cold and airy foam melting together when they think they're going to get separate pretty layers and then they yell at us for not making it work the way they want
Shiroyu 1 points 1y ago
Actually I can't lie, I like the hot pistachio latte with the salty foam. The salty, caramel flavor mixes with it so well. But also like... Obviously it's gonna melt lol. It's really more like I'm adding flavored cream to the latte, but it's easier to mix the ingredients than it would be to just dump two packets of salt, sweet cream, and caramel pumps into the already-made latte.
oohlalaloca 1 points 1y ago
I tell people we'll do it but the foam will melt in the hot drinks. It doesn't curdle, that's not a thing, otherwise we wouldn't be able to sell coffee with cream. It just melts in, so if they want that taste, sweet cream is basically the same thing. And I have put a splash of sweet cream in hot drinks and steamed it, it's fucking delicious.
BothWeb1004 1 points 1y ago
We had a 'cold foam in a hot drink' drink in Canada, in 2018. I've loved Irish Cream cold foam on my americanos ever since that drink. I just double blend it and do 1/4 cold foam to 3/4's americano.
panrosecass 1 points 1y ago
lmao my coworker loves cold foam in her hot sugar cookie latte which is funny bc she usually only drinks refreshers
Forsaken_Permit_3064 1 points 1y ago
When it curdles it’s on them 🤢

Do you put whipped cream in drinks? Cold foam is literally made out of varied amounts of the same ingredients, but instead of being shaken into a foam, it's whipped with a specialized blender. Our whipped cream actually melts faster if you've ever tested it. Yes, cold foam is a pain. But it's not a health concern when drunk in a timely manner.
Due-Ear8105 5 points 1y ago
Whats crazy is this was like the third hot drink with cf on it today. What is going on 😭
[deleted] [OP] 4 points 1y ago

angryspacejunkie 2 points 1y ago
fair enough, but i mostly am trying to avoid remaking their drink when the milk curdles and they dont like it haha
BothWeb1004 2 points 1y ago
No it doesn't. We literally put cream in 200 degree coffee. Who told you this nonsense. 😑
4shotsin 1 points 1y ago
Even if it doesn't, this is a great way to avoid it.
