Milk measurements (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by dedsloth1998
I'm confused on how much a "1/2" of milk/creamer would be in drinks. I've gotten mixed messages from people. Some say do it by the measurement lines, ex. Grande Iced coffee to second line and the rest milk. Or others say just a splash but I am always worried about eyeballing it. I don't mind redoing drinks if the customer doesn't like it but any advice to better understand milk measurements for 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 ect...

It’s a 1/4 inch 1/2inch or 3/4inch I measure it as one finger it 2 finger BUT you can use the shot glass to measure it half is 1/2 inch and full is 3/4inch

Wait. Math. Half a shot glass is 1/2 inch but double the 1/2 inch and it's 3/4 inch, not 1 inch? Huh.

One shot glass can easily hold 4 shots and we can give 4 oz of free milk. So one full shot glass would be the “extra” the new inch method is stupid so I still use my shot glass method

it’d be iced coffee to the second line then milk to the top line. for less, i usually do in between the two top lines then milk to the top. pretty much the same but between the bottom two lines for more
