Starbucks Baristas: The daily grind

Quick Question, In California they talked about raising wages up to 17 an hour for baristas and 23 an hour for SSVS. Are their any requirements for getting that money or when we should get that bump? I’m curious (self.starbucksbaristas)

This may be the raise that is supposed to happen in the summer. All baristas across the entire company will be at a minimum of $15/hr and SSVS will be at $19/hr. They are guaranteeing that baristas will be making a certain percentage above minimum wage. Because California has a higher minimum wage you would be at a higher base pay. So yeah, probably about $17/hr. I believe this is supposed to start at the beginning of summer. Maybe June or July.
