I remember when the matcha water craze was first starting and people thought they could get away with a Trenta for 50¢ I had one girl I remember very vividly when I had to tell her the price went up. Absolutely livid.

I want nuggies, chicken. And milk, choccy. And for the nuggies can you make them 6 piece. And for the milk can you make it large. And the first one is hot. And then I want to reload my card first, but only 5 dollars, but only take off $2.76 from the card and take $.67 off the credit card. But not the same credit card, a different one. And then I have $3.38 in change. Actually, can you refund that and use this other credit card instead. And I need my change, I gave you a 20. Where's my credit card, you stole my card.

we have one woman that comes in and orders a caramel Frappuccino of some sort, either the caramel ribbon crunch or the caramel Brulé depending on how she’s feeling, she’ll ask for extra ice and twice the pumps of everything… So as you can guess it makes both of Venti and grande. yknow…for free?

i hope you guys just give her what she pays for (i.e. she pays for a venti, only gets what fits into the 1 venti, not 1 venti 1 grande) because i think that's standard from the beverage resource manual. of course, if your sm doesn't help you guys enforce that there's not much you can do

it’s a rather tough situation because it isn’t easy to communicate with her, as she is deaf and none of us know ASL; it’s hard to explain when there’s a communication barrier. she’ll write what she wants on her phone and then communicate with non verbal sounds and nods, so we can’t have a full conversation which makes it all challenging.

yeah, that's definitely a tough situation. when communicating with people who are hard of hearing/deaf, i usually just write on receipt paper if i'm on till. tbh if she's nice about, i wouldn't really care either (though a grande AND a venti sounds kind of overboard). just letting you know because i know partners who have gotten in trouble with the dm about that kind of stuff. at that point it's up to your sm if they want to communicate this to her or not (assuming they know about the situation)

My average customers are more like "Hi, can I get a pizza?" and then look at the cashier like they're stupid when they ask them to specify

I do this at most burger restaurants because I don’t like the texture of meat or fake meat. So I end up asking for no patty and adding on French fries or onion rings instead. I always end up feeling embarrassed.

I only do this through the app, so I'm not holding up the line and then don't have to look anyone in the eye when I go pick it up.
ETA : it was really awesome when they had the touch screen stations. Then I could take my time, see how much it was gonna cost and actually browse the menu.
