I just cleaned the drains for the first time last week lmao. Tell me why my shift yelled at me for wearing my apron while I was doing the task and getting bleach splatters on it. Like excuse me. I’m not about to bleach my own clothes. Is that not what the apron is for? Annoying.

Right??? When I first did drains I got yelled at to take my apron off. I bleached my only pair of work pants because of it and couldn't wear them anymore because them being bleached was now out of dress code. So stupid, I'll never understand it. Meanwhile I have a ton of green aprons and we could get new ones any time.

Those have a special drain basket than the rest of them. We have the same one at my store. It’s not that dirty though…

oh we have the same basket for all of them? they all look like that except the new ones… i’ll edit & put a pic of a pretty new one bc it’s gorgeous
& yeah no one ever remembers to clean the drain under the 3 compartment except me but i rarely work mornings. it’s gross

Yeah, it’s special type of drains for dish washers. The other drains have a different basket holder thing whatever it’s called. It’s odd because all of other ones are nasty (especially the one under the back sink 🤮) and the dish washer one is clean

meh it’s not so bad i just make sure i wash well & sanitize my hands when i’m done. there wasn’t really food in them bc it was first thing in the morning & i don’t really touch it when i clean it, i hold it with a rag & scrub w a non food contact brush

The only thing I’d say is that the reason your hands feel slimy w/ bleach cleaner on them is that your skin oils are literally chemically turning into soap. Like even if you don’t care about touching dirty things, save yourself the dry skin comrade

but i don’t touch the bleach is what i was trying to say. i appreciate the concern & if i touched it w my skin i would def wear gloves but i really don’t. maybe a couple drops here & there but overall not really

Not trying to be rude but that isn’t supposed to come into contact with the dish sink because of contamination! Your supposed to use the mop sink! Good job getting it cleaned but be careful that can get you in trouble if the wrong person catches you!
