honestly the breaks should just be longer. I like the shorter shifts but that 10min just doesn't cut it.

In my state we don't have to take a half if we work 6 hrs. So I choose to not take one and my shift gives me two ten min breaks. Jokes on them. So I get paid for 6 hrs and get a paid twenty min break.

I work 5.5 hr shifts and get a lunch

not to mention the fact that (at least in my store) i’m almost expected to stay 10/15 minutes later than i’m scheduled. i off handedly mentioned to a coworker “yeah, i get off at 12:45, but i’ve been staying later and later and i feel bad making my brother wait, so at this point he’s probably going to be picking me up at 1:00” and the ssv on the floor said “haha, don’t do that or we’ll have to give you a thirty 😝”

Too. Only during peak hours of course. It’s so scummy, legit the SM writes on the schedule “REMEMBER NO BREAKS DURING PEAK” and it’s just there on the counter and everyone can see it and man why has no one said anything yet. doesn’t help that it’s a super high volume store so “peak” is really from like 8 am to evening :(

right? like i understand how it works, but the math doesn't add up. you're telling me if i stay 15 more minutes, i earn 30 more minutes of break? doesn't make sense to me.
