Stupid question probably but? (self.starbucksbaristas)

So my manager gave me a paper called Performance and Development Conversations, and I basically just have to fill it out (hopefully yall know what I’m talking about )
But we were in the middle of a rush and he was trying to explain it to me while I was literally making drinks and there’s a page thats like fill in where you are in your development path (like bad to perfect basically)
And the abbreviations for the options on the chart are L, O, and A.
i assumed that the L means learning but I have no idea what the O and A mean and I really don’t remember him explaining it to me lmao,,,
TLDR: what does L, O, and A mean on performance reviews

learning, owning, advising!
learning a new role, owning the role (what you do everyday without second thought), advising the role (to peers in accountability and roles you’ve previously been in to basically guide a newbie under your wing)

OKAY THANK YOU sososo much for explaining it to me, I get it now. my manager didn’t really do that thouroughly enough and he said I have to fill it out by tomorrow. Thanks so much again!

good luck! they’re super easy if you don’t read into it. i like to date the scale for where i feel i’m at so that in a few months when i come back to it i can add a new date and see how i’ve progressed.

Okay thank you! I’m more stressed about having to write the three things I need to work on and how I can improve them, and having a conversation about it ,, to be honest it’s not something I’ve really thought about until he handed me the paper,,, I really just clock in, do my job and leave and don’t think about it much more than that haha :,) but I guess that’s not the Starbucks way lol!

if i can offer some advice- make that one of your things! even if it’s not that serious to you. they don’t even have to be that deep, it can be something like “i want to work more on bev sequencing (even if you’re
good at it).
