If you are looking for a sign to not work at a licensed location this is it. It seems fine at first but then you realize just how much your store manager is breaking contract. I'm so close to quitting it's not funny. I've started applying to coffee shops not associated with the siren. I love coffee, making coffee, interacting with customers, Starbucks is not a place for that anymore.

what ways does the manager break contract? have you thought of transferring instead?

He breaks contract because all he does is care about the numbers of the grocery store as a whole. Any time anything is wrong it's Starbucks fault. We recently found out that Starbucks as a whole allows us 150 working hours per week at a MINIMUM when he's only been giving us 130 or less. So it's always one person working by themselves. But he saves the store money that way so he doesn't care. I have considered transferring but there's not a lot of Starbucks in my area that are a convenient driving distance. As it is I already drive 25 minutes to work one way. Plus there are small business coffee shops closer that pay more.

Yup license sucked.
Only able to have 5 of us at a time because there "isn't enough hours" for more than 3 full time and 2 part time
but "you better not call out bc i don't want to cover your shift"
BUt "it's just coffee it's no big deal!"
and "we're really chill"
bUT "YOU CAN'T HAVE THIS APPT FOR YOUR AUTOIMMUNE DISORDER MEDS THAT YOU SCHEDULED(in the schedule!!!) 2 MONTHS IN ADVANCE BC WE FORGOT IT WAS A BLACKOUT WEEK AND YOU'LL GET IN BIG TROUBLE"
Also not to mention the me being part time but twice being scheduled 8 days in a row and not being allowed to complain (all i did was say i was tired when coming into a shift) because I've not worked 14 doubles in a row before(yeah because i have self value???)
anyway i quit with no notice :)

I was at liscened honestly just apply at corporate they will take you. Liscened wasn't as bad my manger already shit mental health and her only being a literal child isn't good.
