Hello y'all ! I will soon be a brand new barista in a busy european city !
I was wondering if you had any tips for a brand newbie ? As well as tips you wish you had known when you were beginning this job !
Because the job is harsh, you have to develop machine-like reflexes, while having a good audition, a big smile all the time, and eyes behind your back... It's mind-blowing...

It’s literally just coffee, money can be refunded and you go home at the end of the day. There’s no need to stress out about it, but I wish you luck. I really do enjoy this job, except for thoseeee customers💓💓

The stress is not worth this job and any free drinks such you get yeah abuse it till you can't anymore.

Yeah but it seems to be a pain in the ass to learn exactly where the items are on the cash register, so that you can type the order quickly...
And the same goes for the recipes, especially the cold beverages. And everyone in the team must be quick otherwise the entire team cannot keep up.

Learn to leave your work in the store. When you get home it’s not your problem.
