Hours being cut during the week. Is this normal?? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by joongiesem
Anyone else's managers cutting your hours without your permission after schedule is already posted? Like mine normally does it the night before said shift. Is this something to talk about to him or should i let him keep cutting my horrible hours even more even though ive been asking for more?? Idk if this is a genuine issue

It’s because of the labor cuts going on for the end of the quarter. They should definitely follow up with you about it but right now it’s not unheard of

that crazy. Yeah i just went from 30 hour weeks to 4 so its really jarring for me. Especially since this is my only job.

What’s shift marketplace ?

On the partner hub app where you can see your hours, other stores can post shifts available/ they need filled.

is there any way to access that without the app? i did not feel comfortable downloading it

No there is absolutely no other way. That’s unfortunate you don’t feel comfortable with a scheduling app lol just do it from your computer.

Talk to your SM. Managers seem to be all over on how they are doing this. Mine has asked us to try to get out 10 minutes early from our shifts. That way it’s minimal cuts and it’s spread out across partners. I don’t know what I’d do if I was dropped to 4 hours.
