Drive down the drive through times. Take your time, make latte art, take about the customers dog at the window, cook every sandwich open faced. Pill your bar, talk with your coworkers. Drive down drive times and have fun.

Yesterday on my shift, one of our shifts was on dto while I was on dtr. He was making it go so fast, I was trying to have a conversation with a woman about her daughters in the car who all just got their wisdom teeth out. And he pokes me in the back, doesn’t say anything but slides the drink over to me. I don’t understand why we have to have very low drive thru times, like mistakes will be made, leave room for it.

Cuz that’s all corporate cares about. They can see 3 numbers, our sales, our customers satisfaction score, and drive times. These numbers will show weather or not we are worthy of more funding. Aka low drive times means no new headsets even if your drive times are so high cuz you can’t hear the customers. It’s super fucked up and I think it should be stopped. My store manager is pushing 1 minute drive times when we have barely anyone staffed and most are so new they can’t bar. Like no we can’t make connections and have less than one minute drive time sorry. You’ll just get half assed complements and conversations left in the open feeling unfinished and customers unsatisfied feeling like we care more about the timer than them, cuz we do!

We got a happy little sign in backroom from manager congratulating us on great times and connections....then....

our hours get cut!!

Tell me again why we should care about these numbers??
