If it shows up on a background check then it’s gonna flag the system. I’ve heard of people doing it before, but it’s possible you may get overlooked due to this. I supposed it depends how desperate the store is for people

i’m not sure if it shows up because i’m a hairstylist. I haven’t worked a regular job in awhile. i’m moving to another city and have barista experience (I was a shift leader) from before I was a hairstylist. it was a college campus starbucks (we had starbucks products and cups and everything, but the coffee shop had a different name). it didn’t flag for them but I wasn’t sure if a real starbucks would notice. so since it’s been so long should I just say mark no on the application and if it flags then I can explain and say I thought it might’ve fallen off?

Yea you’ll be fine just be honest in the interview, they like honesty, talk about how you like your community and people and get kinda cheesy with it, managers eat that shit up

We just hired a barista who's a 5 time felon. It's probably kind of based off what the charges were for and how comfortable the SM is with hiring for their store.

I have a misdemeanor for "Failure to obtain a rental license" when I let my father in law live in my house in another state for free. Was not an issue getting hired.
