(For reference this was weeks ago) im a SSV and one of our customers came in and told me some guy was chiefing it up with a cigar on our patio so obv i went to go talk to him.

I go outside and politely say "sir im so sorry to bother you but you can't smoke here, it's against starbucks policy" this mf responds and says "make me stop, you have no proof of these rules". i had to stop for a moment because i was about to scream but composed myself and pointed to the blatant stickers on all of our tables saying "this is my proof???", he responded with "yeah that's cigarettes, im smoking a cigar". i audibly laughed said "i can pull up our rules for you and you can read where it says no smoking" if he could read at all... he ended up stepping outside the gate (about 3 ft from where he was, to continue smoking).

i tend to have kind of a sailors mouth, im glad it didn't come out today, but i would love some insight as to how i can handle these situations in the future!
