Tested positive for the flu yesterday morning. I stayed home then, but my SM is making me come in today. We're extremely short staffed on night SSV (only myself and one other), so if I don't go in the store would have to close early.
I shake when I stand and walk, and I feel so weak. I don't know how I can make it through today. I feel like crying because I'm so frustrated.

I wouldn't go in. Don't let them make you feel bad, the shirt staffed issue is not your problem. It's the SMs problem.

don’t go in! first of all, you are not at your best to perform your duties. second, you’re putting your other co worker at risk as well as customers. your SM is insane, god forbid the store close early. no way, your body is sick and NEEDS REST! please do not go in. have we learned nothing from this two year long pandemic?

Dude you are HIGHLY INFECTIOUS. Your SM is risking the health of the other person on shift (not to mention all of the customers) by you coming in.
Official sick policy states that you MUST stay home. Since you got tested, do you have a doctor's note? Anything concrete to fight back with?
(I mean you shouldn't NEED to fight back with concrete evidence or anything, but this is a sucky situation)

Yeah i have a doctor's note. His reasoning is that since there's no medication for the flu, there's no need to stay home. I am going to try to go home since my shift is at 1 (12:53 rn). But i don't think he'll budge.

I would. OP womt pass the covid coach (most likely) and would be sent home anyways. SM can't force you to work if you're sick, esp with the coach. Thats definitely grounds to call pcc
