partner markouts (self.starbucksbaristas)

our new manager is saying we can only get 1 drink a day. is this true? our old manager told us when we got hired we can have one before, one during and one after our shift the days we work. she makes us ring up waters if we get those too and it's like...do the waters count as a drink to her??

At our store we get unlimited drinks during our shift but only one food mark out

Our sm says it’s unlimited drinks

i mean i wouldn't count the water as a markout i'd just pay for it lol all $0.00 of it but i actually believe they changed it so you can have one on your break and only one other within (before or after) thirty minutes of your shift?

oh soobin pfp!
but yeah i mean that's still at least 2 drinks??
she's being super extra about it now and it's kinda annoying :/

my boy lol but yeah at MINIMUM two drinks, more if you have more than one break or a lunch. also the water deal just feels goofy, if a customer comes up and asks for a water we don't typically bring them over to the register and put it in before giving it to them either and i doubt our water sells put a big enough dent into our water bill in comparison to... genuinely just about everything else we use water for at the store to ring up every water for the sake of keeping track of how much resources we are using or something it just sounds insane

I believe you actually get unlimited drinks during your shift, as long as it’s within reason.

Just ask the manager to help you understand the policy on the partner hub, because it reads differently from what they are saying

It’s unlimited drinks 30 minutes before to 30 minutes after. You can only mark out drinks for yourself. You can only mark them out 1 at a time. During your shift you can only mark them out (and consume them) during a break or lunch. You do need to mark out water, but it doesn’t count as a partner beverage. It’s just to keep track of inventory and a little bit of labor.

Food mark out is still 7 per week, but likely to change soon. The 7 was a COVID policy and those seem to be slowly phasing out. Currently it’s 7 that you need to keep track of. They can only be marked out during your shift. You can mark out more then one in a shift, but they need to be done in separate transactions.

I was told it’s unlimited drinks (but you can’t drink while you’re on the floor obviously)

You have to mark out waters according to standard because it helps keep track of inventory (cups, lids). I have never had waters count as a drink though. Otherwise your old manager is right and your new manager can get over it.

Show ur manager the policy. I can send it to u if u need p

It should be what you said. Though food did change back to 1 mark out per shift. I’ve always been told before,on break, and after. So if you get two breaks or something you should get 4 drinks total… if you so choose
Affectionate_Fart 6 points 1y ago
Where did it say one mark out per day, i thought it was still 7/weekly
just_pig3on 1 points 1y ago
I’m not sure where exactly but my SM said they changed it back. It was a huge confusion in our group chat a while ago lol.
