i asked to call my manager because i would like to read my resignation letter to him and he has not yet responded. would it be bad to send the pdf file of my letter via text?

Don’t call him to quit. Your manager should have an email address printed on their Starbucks business cards. Email him your resignation letter with the subject line “Resignation-Your Name”. If you’re returning to the store, bring a printed copy with you to your next shift and sign it. Leave it on the desk in BOH - better yet, tape it to the shelf above the desk. If you’re not going back, make sure to say so explicitly in your resignation email. Having written proof in the form of an email chain is better when it comes to termination of employment.

Hope you’re on to better things!

Edit: forgot to add, don’t text him your resignation. Text messages are not acceptable communication methods to Starbucks and not using the approved channels to resign could get you in trouble.
