A friend of mine recently quit Starbucks and was wondering if you get paid your sick hours and vacation hours after you quit

negative. you quit you get nothing. you even lose out on unvested stock.

I put in my two weeks and got my pay out. If you quit on the spot or are fired you don’t get your vacation hours paid out. I called partner resources beforehand to confirm the pay out. It all comes together in your last check, which you eventually get a paystub for in the mail.
