What’s the point of getting sugar free vanilla if you’re also going to get another syrup that contains sugar?
Or what’s the point in getting sugar free vanilla and then using vanilla sweet cream cold foam?
Just a random question from a 5 month old barista

i'd say it cuts down on the overall sugar content. it's not that they can't have sugar at all, they just don't want too much. maybe if they still offered other sugar-free syrups they'd order it! adds up little by little over time, you know? 😌

Ohh okay! I’ve never thought of it this way. I’ve always just thought in the beck of my mind that they were sugar free

Yep! I get sf vanilla so I can have some caramel drizzle as a treat.

I have a regular that says they prefer the taste. They get 2pump sf vanilla and 2pump Toffeenut in her morning cold brew. She’s a store fave. ❤️

If I'm having a sweet tooth, I get a stevia or pump of sf vanilla to boost the flavor of the other sweetened flavor. But only 1-2 pumps of each, not max on both.

Some people like the aftertaste

It could be people cutting down on sugar, but I’ve seen people put 20 pumps of sugar in their drinks then still have the sugar free syrups. Just people being extra

I do half SFV, half toasted vanilla. It’s half the calories but doesn’t taste fully like sugar alcohol

i always use sf vanilla. every once in a while i’ll treat myself to some sc cf. it’s still significantly less sugar than using full sugar syrups in my drink. i can’t have a certain amount because my body struggles to process it and i break out and bloat. also side rant, i have overheard partners say sometimes when customers ask for sf and they’re annoying they give them regular... that’s not okay, you make the drink the way they paid for, for some people the difference in sugar could be a real issue

I have diabetes so it lets me have some but not all sugar
interyx1 points1y ago
Last week I had someone order a grande latte with 4 SFV and 4 Classic. Now *that's* pointless.

And sugar free isnt even fully safe for diabetics. My mom and aunt are both diabetic and react to it just like with sugar
