I just wanted to share an experience I had at Starbucks earlier today. I was having a really bad day today and decided to treat myself with a Starbucks drink. I went through the drive through, and I really didn't know what to get so I asked the employee taking my order to make me whatever drink she would get if she was having a 'not-so-great' day. She said she would make me a special drink. When I pulled up to the window, she told me that the drink was on her today and said she hoped that my day would get better. Writing this out I'm tearing up again because of how much her gesture meant to me.
For anyone here who needs to hear this: Thank you for all the work you guys put into your jobs. I know how hard it can be working a service job. It is not easy to keep a smile on your face when you're greeting customers when you may have had a negative experience with a different customer just moments ago. The small talk, smiles, and positive energy you guys bring honestly means so much to me and is my favourite part of getting a drink from Starbucks. I appreciate each and every one of you for the hard work you put into your jobs and I promise that although it may seem redundant, the smallest gestures really are helping people get through their days. Thank you for everything you do :)!
To that specific employee: If you happen to stumble upon this, thank you for what you did. I appreciate what you did more than words will ever be able to express <3. And the drink you made for me (Grande white mocha with 2 pumps white mocha, oat base, 2 pumps toffee nut syrup, and a cinnamon dolce top) was so good! I will definitely be getting it again!
The Random Question: I really want to make sure that employee knows how much I appreciate her and what she did. I don't know her name, but if I write her a little note, go to that same Starbucks location and ask the manager to give the note to the employee who was working the drive through at a specific day and time, would they be able to make sure it gets to the right person? If not is there any other way I can possibly get a note to that employee?
