Carmel Macchiato (self.starbucksbaristas)

For people who are struggling to get the cross hatching to stay in top of the milk, it’s because you are squeezing the damn Carmel bottle too hard! Lightly squeeze the bottle and you will achieve greatness

Sometimes the caramel stream is too thick regardless of how lightly you squeeze. Waiting a few seconds for the foam to “solidify” on top usually does the trick of holding thicker caramel if necessary.

also you might not be making enough foam either, everyone at my store makes no foam at all with the caramel macchiatos and lattes but they’re still supposed to have some foam to them

That’s why I just do smiley faces and hearts
BlackberryOpposite31 12 points 1y ago
Yeah that’s not enough drizzle. Do the cross hatch
tellovisions 62 points 1y ago
No

Also helps to let the caramel bottle live on top of the espresso machine, the heat keeps it from getting too solid and it’s easier to squeeze.

But it makes a big mess when it drips on the machine.

I put an unopened sleeve under ours! Collects the drip.

You are a genius! Thank you for the tip!

the lids to short cups placed upside down also fits the ring at the bottom of the gravity bottles perfectly!
Ordinary-Theory-8289 2 points 1y ago
Probably more so to do with the texture of their milk tbh
blackcatcaptions 2 points 1y ago
Carmel goes on top too?

/S
io_thomas 0 points 1y ago
Yeah, its drizzle on top and vanilla syrup inside the drink
P_2_P 2 points 1y ago
Also pour your milk onto the side of the cup and not the bottom of the cup.

You need some foam on top!
