Transferring to a store with promotion opportunities? (self.starbucksbaristas)

I’ve been a barista for almost ten months, my SM is amazing and has talked about my development, but also acknowledges my current store has no current need of SSV. I feel that with the work I’ve done, prior experience and more it’s time for me to transition from barista to shift. Has anyone transferred to a store looking to become a shift? What was the process like and how do I bring this up with my SM?

You can either apply to a store in your area through taleo for a ssv position; or you can either go to different stores and talk with their sm before transferring so they know your intentions or you can talk to your sm and see if they know another sm that needs a ssv.

There’s a store Really close to me looking for a shift, I just don’t know how to tell my SM I’m applying to it!
