Is anyone else’s store being told that they have to cut partners hours(self.starbucksbaristas)

At my store our manager has told us that Corprate has advised that managers cut parter hours causing us to be extremely frustrated with our manager since some of us desperately need the hours for bills. Is anyone else dealing with this?

Yeah lemme just make record profits, increase CEO wage by 39% oh and we have to cut down partner hours. So you’re more overworked. Fuck this company

Licensed stores?

No, franchises. Outside of the US, Starbucks does franchises like McDonalds. They look just like a standalone corporate Starbucks. They’re owned by independent companies but implement Starbucks policies. So if corporate Starbucks says slash labour, they tend to put the same pressure and goals onto franchises too.

Interesting, like the korean ones that were sold to who knows what company?

Yep. They're blaming our manager for not cutting our hours earlier when we took on another store's staff bc their store was under renovations. The idea that a) our employees should have had to get cuts a month ago to accommodate another stores staff and b) we are being punished for it is insane. I keep bringing up that it isn't just our store to make sure my kids know we aren't in trouble we didny do anything wrong: corporate doesn't give a fuck about us. Dollars to donuts they'll use this to not give us our promised raise.

unfortunately so. my new SM is scheduling herself 5 hours a week, so she can give those hours to partners who need it. it’s nationwide
