partners coming to your store (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Comprehensive-Big357
this might like spark some controversy but does anyone else get super irratated by partners that work at a different store coming to your store and constantly telling you "oh im a partner i know" or "oh im a partner we do this all the time at my store" basically any of that bullshit because honestly it pisses me off. (they come in as a customer if that isnt clear)

i had someone come in and ask if i could put ice directly into her water bottle and i said i really cant do that and she said "oh im a partner yes i do it all the time" like we arent supposed to do that right? maybe i was wrong but it still rubbed me the wrong way.

Yes. We’ve had borrowed partners working and cutting corners (shake your iced teas) and I have to let it go since they’re helping us out and working

i dont really see the point of shaking iced teas when swirling the liquids around is probably enough and it’ll create bubbles anyways… i see it as harmless as throwing making 2 of the same flavored fraps @ once instead of doing it 1 by 1…

edit: i’ll only shake atuff that has inclusions or must be like anything with lemonade or milk with powder, just not base + water drinks..

Um I haven’t been in for a minute but last I checked we take personal mugs for coffee so I don’t see why we couldn’t fill it with ice, water, or both. Otherwise though yes I agree I don’t like it when they come to me asking to break the rules

yeah but we stopped doing that bc of covid even like the ones they buy in that instance we cant according to my ssv

unless something changed in the past few weeks I’ve been out personal cups have been allowed since atleast November 2021 I just can’t remember when exactly. Now there are protocols technically to follow but they’re allowed

What we've been doing is that we've been putting customer's cups into the hot mugs that we have for cafe, sit-down drinks so we're not touching their personal cups directly. I wish we were still distancing enough to refuse it :/

Some of my least favorite guests are partners from other stores

I’ll be like, “so what?”

lol i don’t mean to be one of those people but if i’m ordering something and it’s clearly taking them a long time to find a certain button (for example ristretto) i’ll ask them what they are looking for and describe where it is
