I want to work at Starbucks … (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Wild_Consequence3083
I’m 20 years old .There is 3 Starbucks near my college that are a couple of minutes walk. Do y’all recommend working there ? I want to be a barista! Should I walk-in and ask or do I apply online ? Any tips are welcome

You apply online. Remember, this is, above all, a public service job, and as such, you’ll be working with the public and all that that entails.

Managers are looking for people who are bubbly, coachable (willing to learn/accept when they’re wrong), and who have an abundance of patience and tolerance for all sorts of things, ranging from diversity to outright stupidity (dealing with annoying customers). You need to demonstrate that you can work well under pressure and constantly maintain your composure while still being positive and chipper.

I’m very easy to get along with and they only thing I don’t have patience for Is homework . I love learning to make drinks since I mix drinks at home already and I’ve seen a lot of customers just need to get there emotions out and I understand that and I don’t take most things to heart

If you really want to be a barista, try looking for an independent coffee shop to work at

maybe start going there as often as you can, studying there and getting to know the baristas. eventually you can show your interest and it’ll help you get your foot in the door

i love being a barista! it can get a bit stressful (like any other food service job), however, i do save a lot of money on coffee and food by working here, and as a college student like you, that’s a big factor!

Starbucks has really good benefits if u r looking for that , it’s not a bad job, but customer service is stressful and so is fast paced work environments,
Apply online and they’ll call you, they want to hear about how much u like customers and customer service and creating the Starbucks environment 👌 good luck with whatever u decide !
