anyone else have a customer go absolutely batshit over misspelling their name??

a customer came in a couple days ago and when she gave me her name, just immediately spelled it out. i thought she said T-E-S-S. i repeated it back to make sure i got her name right. confirmed it was correct. i had a hard time hearing her because it’s loud. both ovens are beeping, milk is steaming, blenders are going, and timers are going off. you get it.

i hand out her food, and she takes one look at the sticker. starts *screaming* and calling us bitches because she said J-E-S-S. not tess. like….i get it’s frustrating, as someone whose name is *never* spelled nor pronounced right. but i’m not going to scream at the person who took my order because they heard me wrong?? in a loud environment??? idk just made me very irritated lol
