Opinions on double shifts? (self.starbucksbaristas)

Hey y’all! So I got thrown into an interesting situation today. I have a shift at my home store at 1:30pm-6:30pm, but around 8am another barista from my home store texts me to tell me that another store needs someone to fill for 9am-1. Due to personal reasons I can’t fill that request *today*, but in the future would double shifts be allowed? Is there any siren policy on that? Thanks!

Double shifts are allowed! Depending if you're a minor though, you may have a limit of working 8 hours or similar a day.

yes that’s allowed. but don’t cover shifts after working 8 hours because you don’t want to burn yourself out
