I feel like I’ve punched in iced white chocolate mocha with extra caramel drizzle and VSCCF like four thousand times
FfierceLaw 74 points 1y ago
If they don't order the caramel drizzle I have said, "What no caramel drizzle?" Sometimes they say, "Oh yeah!"
christhefunky132 [OP] 20 points 1y ago
Always gotta have the caramel drizzle 🙃
Mooncat1999 5 points 1y ago
one time someone didn’t want the caramel but i put it on there out of habit and they threw a fit over it 😐
FfierceLaw 3 points 1y ago
That is so unexpected!
Kmsss 9 points 1y ago
Can they just make it a button at this point?

[incoming mini rant about tipping & capitalism, so sorry and not directed at the OP, just made me think]

People are hurting for money and honestly customers shouldn’t be expected to tip. I always appreciate it, and yeah it’s still annoying when complicated customers don’t tip bc it does have a rude vibe to it. BUT our CEO makes $21 million a year and this company walked away with nearly $5 billion in surplus value and wealth created by and stolen from the workers. Ultimately every company is doing this. I know my customers are dealing with the same stuff at their jobs, so I don’t feel like our pay should be supplemented by other working class people. Seize the means, fam.

I understand people are hurting for money we all are, Starbucks can definitely afford to pay us more with how much we charge almost 9 bucks for a coffee is crazy it should be 6 dollars at max for the quality of ingredients. It think it’s crazy people are still paying these prices with how the economy is. Idk where I’m going with this 🤣 sorry hope everyone is having a good day and doesn’t get a lot of Karen’s.
ProletarianProblems 17 points 1y ago
Preach. Our coffee is so bad lol.

No Karens today, but my last two shifts me and my coworkers got cursed out bc they were charged for adding sweet cream and the other for a side of heavy cream. To top it off, they were both driving $100,000+ SUVs. 🥲
christhefunky132 [OP] 6 points 1y ago
Lmao those people shouldn’t be complaining/can tip change, I got cursed out yesterday when someone wanted 3 extra shots in a latte and almond milk and the price was like 9 or 10
ProletarianProblems 12 points 1y ago
Okay, our union contracts should include the ability to fight customers who curse at us. lol

Also, I’ve noticed it’s usually working class people who are more likely to tip too. The wealthier ones with more expensive and larger/more complicated orders are less likely to tip in my experience.

I love your poem btw. Big mood.

I agree with everything you said but also if you're buying $8 drinks every day be a little more aware. I don't go out to eat if I can't afford to tip. We may not make tipped wages but that's because a tip for us is most likely a few coins.
[deleted] 4 points 1y ago
I still like tipping you guys. Like, even if you guys start getting good pay, you deserve it for the customers. I don’t get coffee if I can’t afford a $5-10 tip.
heytherecomputer 1 points 1y ago
I completely agree with you on most of this, but unless someone’s getting a drink that’s <$5, they should have enough disposable income to tip if they wanted to. You and I are in the same page about being paid fairly. And ultimately no one should be expected to tip if the wages are livable. But that’s not the way things are right now, and people don’t realize that even a $1 tip makes a difference to us. Howard Schultz or the other shmuck isn’t going to give us raises because customers refuse to tip. He doesn’t really care. So either customer have enough disposable income to get coffee for $8 and give a $1 tip, or they’re hurting for money and blowing it on overpriced coffee.

How do you guys get the mocha/white mocha to mix? I feel like swirling the espresso isn't really enough
uwumoment 21 points 1y ago
swirl it harder
panrosecass 7 points 1y ago
u just swirl it for a while and vigorously
SecurityGullible6243 6 points 1y ago
swirl it with ur left hand while the shot is pulling/ while ur steaming the milk. If you have 10+ pumps or are making a drink with only 1 shot in a venti it might not be perfect but that method works for me
