Quick Question About A Drink (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by tater-tots-r-us
So I don't work at a regular Starbucks location, I work at a Target Starbucks. I had two guests yesterday ask for an iced honey jade citrus mint tea. I've literally never heard of that and it wasn't in any of the drink cards we have. Would it be steeped jade citrus mint tea with added packets of honey? I didn't think of it yesterday while I was working but now that I'm thinking about it that's all I can think it or would be.

Just figured I'd ask so I can know for the next time I get asked to make one :)

I would follow the guide for iced London fogs (steep it at 2x strength, so lemonade, honey blend, and shake.
(It’ll be like a shaken iced tea…)

I usually recommend a peach green tea lemonade & add honey to it. It’s as close as I can get to the flavor of a HCMT without the customer waiting for the tea bags to steep (if they don’t want to)

If I got that order i'd make an iced medicine ball with a 2x brew but you can also ring it up on the register to see what components go into it via the little abbreviations

Ugh, we get tons of people asking for Honey Citrus Mint Teas. It’s been out of stock because the Peach Tranquility has been so scarce, but we just got it back and it’s selling like crazy. It’s typically not a drink we’d do iced, but the peach green tea lemonade with honey blend and a splash of lemonade should taste similar!

We have a drink in Canada called the Honey Citrus Mint tea, it was a customer creation years ago called the “Medicine Ball” that got added to our menu. It’s usually hot, one bag Jade citrus and one bag peach tranquility with honey blend syrup filled halfway, then topped with steamed lemonade. I think it’s kinda gross but it’s popular here. I’d imagine for an iced version you’d still do the steeped tea for half of it and then cold lemonade and ice
