type or write up a short letter.
“I am writing to inform you of my two-week resignation effective now making my last day 00/00/2022”

That’s a VERY basic guideline (-:

make sure your name is there and address it to your sm or write their name on it

In certain professions a letter is a nice courtesy for documentation, but as a barista you can just talk to your store manager and declare your intent to leave.

Something along the lines of “I’m moving forward with life goals. Thanks for the opportunity. Consider this my two-week notice. That means xx/xx will be the last day I am available.”

And if you’re parting on good terms ask for a reference letter. They’re very handy for résumés and school applications.

I had a co worker accidentally tell my manager I was thinking of quitting and then my manager called me over and was like “are you thinking of quitting because it’s okay, i just want to know.” And then I quit.

i think i just typed & printed out a letter ( i googled resignation letters for inspo ) and gave it to my store manager - i’m in Canada & was just a barista tho ( not a trainer, shift, etc… ) so idk if there are different standards in different places

Tell them to pay you $20/hour or you walk out. Would they give you a two-week notice if they were going to fire you?
