The little bags that Starbucks sells of the Hippeas taste so much better than the big bags you can buy at grocery stores?? Like is it just me or has anyone else experienced this???

Haha I get this... Fresher maybe? Check dates. Sometimes the grocer's chip stock guy(a visiting vendor for each brand) doesn't rotate well, and older ones end up hanging out longer. Have had expired Tim's chips by accident before and the taste difference is very noticeable. Stale.
