annoying drive thru teens (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Former-Sandwich-2817
I was on DTO today and this car of teenage girls came to the speaker & I shit you not, the entire time they were ordering they could barely speak because they were laughing. basically had to piece together their whole order because I couldn’t understand anything they said (ofc it was venti strawberry lemonade refreshers w light ice, no berries, & raspberry). when they came up to the window they were still laughing, like girlie pls let me in on the joke because I guarantee it’s not that funny.

their laughs were SO high pitched too, made my ears bleed

There's nothing I hate more in dto than teen girls laughing at EVERYTHING. it drives me bonkers

I think they honestly only said 2 actual words through their cackling
Crowchick1731 1 points 1y ago
Kudos to you for staying calm. I dont think I could have!

Honestly they were probably high which whenever I get high teens in the drive through I always tell them “be safe” instead of “have a good day” just to trip them out

I think it's actually worse when it's a group of boys. Age range of 17-24.
The uproar of taunts when one of them orders something deemed too girly and the fact that they'll be at the order box for ten minutes trying to figure out the differences between tall and grande

No but literally why do ALL of them sound so identical and ALWAYS order that damn refresher with raspberry 😭
Former-Sandwich-2817 [OP] 1 points 1y ago

Man, I hated chicks like that even when I WAS a teen. LMAO.
LilacFlores 1 points 1y ago
Why did you hate chickens?
LilacFlores 0 points 1y ago
You never answered why you hate chickens?
gallivantgoose 1 points 1y ago
I had a group of girls pull up literally screaming into the box 😭 my poor ears

Oh my god yes. What is so fucking funny? It seems mean-spirited, like they get the giggles because someone has an unusual order or something and then they all just keep laughing. It’s bizarre.
FfierceLaw 1 points 1y ago
When they do manage to utter their order, I never trust them to actually want the original refresher, I always ask if they want the one with lemonade and 99.8% of the time at my store they want the one with lemonade
Former-Sandwich-2817 [OP] 2 points 1y ago
OMG YES. like girl I know you order this every day, pls order it as “strawberry lemonade refresher”. they always say strawberry refresher & rattle off their modifications & save “lemonade” for the end
catarinavanilla 0 points 1y ago
At that point tell them they need to settle down or you’re not going to be able to take their order. Nothing gets teens to stfu with that bs faster than reminding them they’re a child

I just keep saying “…what?” until I am satisfied.
