manager made a rule to have partners written up if they called or texted her cell phone, and she was stealing partners’ belongings (self.starbucksbaristas)

I had to quit. I have never in my life heard of a manager anywhere that writes up employees for contacting them regarding covid. I called her a total of 3 times over the course of 5 months. first was to tell her I had covid symptoms, to give her notice of my shift the next day, next was to tell her I tested positive for covid, third was a photo of my vaccination card. I was given a nasty 10 minute talk, was threatened to get written up, and told I was over stepping her boundaries by calling/texting rather than emailing her. on a few other occasions she stole partners’ aprons with their many, many starbucks pins, and admitted to stealing them, then pointing at a small sign that says “if your apron is left here it will be confiscated”, as well as partners’ winter gear, including hats, gloves, jackets, etc.
I had to quit. I was going to give her a 2 week notice but I wasn’t allowed to call or text, so she got a hefty 1-hour notice.
