manager made a rule to have partners written up if they called or texted her cell phone, and she was stealing partners’ belongings (self.starbucksbaristas)

I had to quit. I have never in my life heard of a manager anywhere that writes up employees for contacting them regarding covid. I called her a total of 3 times over the course of 5 months. first was to tell her I had covid symptoms, to give her notice of my shift the next day, next was to tell her I tested positive for covid, third was a photo of my vaccination card. I was given a nasty 10 minute talk, was threatened to get written up, and told I was over stepping her boundaries by calling/texting rather than emailing her. on a few other occasions she stole partners’ aprons with their many, many starbucks pins, and admitted to stealing them, then pointing at a small sign that says “if your apron is left here it will be confiscated”, as well as partners’ winter gear, including hats, gloves, jackets, etc.
I had to quit. I was going to give her a 2 week notice but I wasn’t allowed to call or text, so she got a hefty 1-hour notice.

… y not report her? I bet she’s an outside hire. It’s always the outside hires. Power tricking narcissist

I don’t think anybody reads those responses tbh and since it’s anonymous they probably don’t know what location it’s coming from unless you say. Please report this to the DM so action can be taken.

How anonymous are they when you can win an ipad from doing them? How do they know who to award these ipads to unless they are not truly anonymous? 🤷

That’s not a way to report people lol

Those are useless btw. You have to call pcc or the dm to report her and actually get somewhere

You can report her for stealing pins.

The only way to call out is to call the store. This would include calling out for COVID reasons or needing to be ran through the COVID coach. It’s always the manager on duty in the store at that moment. Calling/texting your manager is not an approved form of communication. Not all managers will even give their cell out. Some have google voice numbers or only give it to SSVs for an emergency. Your SM is allowed to tell you to not contact them outside of work hours unless it is an emergency.

It doesn’t sound like she handled it well, but she isn’t breaking any rules either.
