I’ve been working at Starbucks for about a month and a half now and I am struggling to learn bar. When I first started it wasn’t to bad, but now that I am not training I am only scheduled morning shift so it is hard to get me on bar as well as everyone at my store is getting their hours cut. I am only working three days this week. If anyone has anything that can maybe help me pick it up quicker that would be amazing.

oh my fucking god How the fuck did no one ever share that first PDF with me before???? It's so comprehensive!! What the fuck! Why isn't that PDF given to every barista!!! What the fucking fuck!?!? I searched for my own resources and just found the starbucks drink Quizlet flashcard set, which is outdated and incomplete. So b/c of that flashcard set, I became a pro at about 75% of beverages, but for months had no training or direction for a lot of weird, less commonly ordered beverages like London Fog or Blended Strawberry Lemonade. Everyone says "just look up the recipes on the iPad" but idk what Starbucks you work at, but at my locations, we never have any fucking spare time to waste looking up drink recipes on the iPad. Jesus Christ.

Thank you! This is actually so helpful because people tend to tell me different things (like dates for things or numbers or pumps)

Im really new as well and honestly I just guess for the most part and pay super close attention when other people are making drinks. I sometimes ask questions but I hate asking the same ones over and over again. I’ve also made a couple cheat sheets on my phone that I’ll pull up if I’m really stuck. But for the most part customers don’t really notice if the drink is a little off. And if they do, and come back asking for you to remake it, they usually will tell you what’s wrong so you can fix it ie ‘it’s not strong enough, sweet enough’ etc.
