You guys! You all need to put 100 ml of heavy whipping cream with 2 salt packets in the cold foam blender. Blend on 4 like 4-5 times to desired thickness, smacking the side of the cfb every blend to mix it.
Then y’all put that shit on warmed banana bread, and spread it all thick, and enjoy that delicious snack.

i would love to have a single crumb of down time at my location

Down...time? I dont understand. If we're not busy cranking through drinks, we're restocking or cleaning. This concept of time having directions makes no sense.

no literally i tried to make ice cream for everyone during our 5 mins of downtime then we got flooded and i was like how did people whip this so long that it hardened????? bc mine never did and i was sad.

What specifically was your butter recipe?
I've made it once but am looking for ways to improve.

Room temperature heavy cream shaken in a tall cup for like 15 mins on and off, then drain the liquid, add a salt packet and shake until mixed
MiaLedger16 points1y ago
Ooh, shaken in a tall cup? I hadn't thought of that. Did you use a hot or cold cup, and how did you keep it from coming out the lid?
I put mine in the cold foam blenders alternating between buttons 3 and 4.

The “heavy” cream my store uses isn’t actually heavy enough to make butter with so you might need store bought whipping cream to make it

at home i shake it in a mason jar and then salt it once it’s done & i pour off the buttermilk… sooo good. just mash the butter + salt in your (clean!!!!) hands over the sink to distribute it throughout

Idk how you guys have time to mess around my store is always so busy, i’d be happy if i at least got my break once in a while
beautifulcam [OP]13 points1y ago
It was at like 6am right before peak
mekayla9630 points1y ago

Lmaoo we’re just as busy as every other store, claim your time back and make butter
rszdemon6 points1y ago
I feel like a lot of this is because of evening employees. When I work at night there’s never down time cus we could always get ahead on closing.
But after open and before peak it’s a joke usually. I can’t work mornings anymore but I remember being able to goof off for like maybe an hour or so at 5 or 6 after the old people leave and before the people on their way to their jobs.
There’s literally no mess to clean yet and no tasks that can really be done at 6 am other than “brew coffee and check backups”
uwumoment2 points1y ago
i feel like my store is the opposite, we are the busiest in our state but when i used to work 6am shifts i’d walk in and suddenly be completely flooded. now i walk in like 4-5pm and sometimes we are flooded but then like 8-9pm there’s literally nobody in the drive thru line

I wish I had this down time

I just made butter the other day! I used 200mL heavy cream, a salt packet, a honey packet, and a generous amount of cinnamon dolce topping. Blended it in a foaming pitcher on 4 like 10 times, then dumped it into a shaker to finish separating the butter from the buttermilk. We tried it on warmed banana bread
IOnlyhave5_i_s2 points1y ago
Ohmygoodness! This sounds amazing. I can’t wait to make my own butter!
