Why do you even care? Let people drink their garbage. I bet you don’t actually refuse to use sweet cream as a milk either.
Like mock the drinks all day but don’t pretend you don’t just make them lol.
brownGoddess01-1 points1y ago
There’s actually a rule at SBUX where customers aren’t allowed to use sweet cream as a milk substitute look into it !
particularBillarina2 points1y ago
Lol I don’t care that much. There are a lot of rules and if I recall correctly when I worked there making the moment right would equal customers get sweet cream when they want it.
Again it’s ridiculous to care to the point you ‘refuse to do it. Also don’t believe you refuse lol.

I’m just responding to your comment where you say why do I care? And when so many people use sweet cream for a entire drink we always end up having to make more during a rush since so many people want foam, not only is it disgusting but it sets us back so far when we constantly run out!
particularBillarina1 points1y ago
sounds like you need a new job. Making sweet cream even during a rush is not that hard lol.
Some of y’all must have come from low volume stores. There are stores that never not have a rush. The one I worked at was unfortunately the only SB in like a 2 hour radius in a tourist town. During the summer a line out the door and drive thru wrapped around the building from sunup to sundown was normal. You just had to do stuff no matter how busy.
Side note it’s weird to troll someone’s previous posts to do a crying emoji 🤪

i really urge you to check in with how fatphobic this post is. it’s one thing to bring up absurd orders and annoying tiktok drinks here after we make them, because that’s our job, but we don’t have to shame people for *their* choices based on what choices *we* have made as individuals about what *we* perceive as healthy or not. there’s no place for fatphobia here.
dahyunapologist2 points1y ago
how is that fatphobic 💀
pranasoup2 points1y ago
“they don’t need all that sugar” is such a cruddy thing to say. altering someone’s drink because of the stigma around exceeding “appropriate portions” or even an unconscious bias towards anything beyond it is just that. determining what is best for someone else, be it carbs or fat, by calling them out in any capacity is taking away their autonomy and the agency they have to decide for themselves. i hope that explanation helps.
i wish that starbucks would include more unconscious biases into our existing unconscious bias training. we could definitely use more queer, ability, and body-size adjacent topics.

Wasn’t my intention, but sugar is great way to catch a headache or become dehydrated etc. nothing to do with weight. Think u took it too far 💀 maybe ur fat-phobic for even assuming that 😳
pranasoup1 points1y ago
i’m sorry, but redirecting this instead of taking any amount of accountability, small or large is so cringe. it’s giving very “i’m rubber you’re glue” and this isn’t kindergarten. it’s just a cruddy thing to say and i’m bummed that a partner is sayin it. i’m not the first person in this sub or r/starbucks to bring this up, it’s not new. and “too far?” bestie, i’m not the one out here changing people’s drinks that they *paid for.*
caitlin_marie_gg-1 points1y ago
i get what you mean but its not fatphobia its just saying a drink would taste better with milk and a splash of sweet cream rather than straight sweet cream. its about taste no one mentioned calories. not everything is fatphobic.
SportsChick792 points1y ago
You think that. The person ordering does not. Give the customer what they ordered, as long as it isn’t dangerous to the partner making it (ie shaken espresso no ice)
pranasoup1 points1y ago
“they don’t need all that sugar” is actually the second from last sentence.
caitlin_marie_gg-1 points1y ago
thats still not fatphobic though judging calories or sugar doesn’t equate fatphobia. fatphobia is about weight and i’ve experienced it. someone saying i don’t need sugar isnt fatphobic
pranasoup1 points1y ago
okay 🙂
PauseAccording204 points1y ago
You’re in the wrong line of work then, you’re getting paid to make these drinks and do your job lmao
Vivid-Cheetah-76934 points1y ago
you purposely put less? you’re getting paid to make these drinks how they’re ordered. don’t get me wrong, i cringe making the drinks with 14 pumps this and 10 pumps that, but because i’m getting paid to put those pumps in there, i do it. you’re going to create more work for yourself when someone circles around saying their drink doesn’t taste right. just do your job and whine about it in your head like the rest of us.

My concern is that the thick texture blocks flavors from mixing when used in a hot espresso beverage. I made a heavy cream latte for someone recently, he ordered Splenda in it. I put the Splenda in the cup to swirl with the shots. Poured in the HC, swirled best as I can and handed it off. He needed more Splenda, lots more. I wonder about steaming the Splenda in with the HC? I just want to make things that taste good. For my own consumption I understand OP, I’m only into black, unsweetened beverages

I’m lactose intolerant so I like to drink an iced venti cup of heavy cream to blow out my bowels. It’s an amazing cleanse. After brown goddess makes my drink I’m going straight to the sbux toilet to chug down.
