It totally sucks I get it. The only way to really get close to 35-40 there is the SSV position. I would start looking for a full time job. or a second part time job if you’re wanting to continue at sbux!

See if you can be borrowed out to other stores within your district, you will get paid for mileage to be there as well as their shifts that go up on market place will also show up on the app for you to pick up as well.

Not an ideal solution but it’s something to hold over till hours increase.

Understandable and a couple of others at my store are in the same stance. Also remember this is still a cooperation and you still have to make it a point to look out for you (bc you are important ofc) so whatever you feel is best for you like getting a second job, work at other stores to get more hours. Personally my hours just got cut this week as well as our shifts and I’ve worked 10-11 hour shifts before which I don’t mind. Personally try to talk to your SM but if that doesn’t work, I’d suggest picking up shifts at other stores or being on call for your partners if a shift is needed to be covered, etc etc.

I’m hoping this changes soon. My SM staved off the cuts as long as she could, but mine have been cut too. I just picked up two shifts just to get back to my normal hours

It sucks to learn, but hour promises aren’t a real thing. Your SM can tell you what you want, but they don’t have to actually schedule a certain number of hours.
