i’ve gone through a few pairs of docs at work and my favorite are just the regular like chelsea boots ones, black and no laces! they aren’t nonslip but i have yet to fall
mekayla962 points1y ago
Yeah I wear docs and once you break them in they’re great for work
krty981 points1y ago
I wear docs as well. I got the steel toe workboot from them and they’re great

docs work awesome for standing for forever. seriously. only reason i made it through my first retail job^
nicolelynnejones1 points1y ago
i have some docs already, but i usually only wear them when it’s snowing!! doing up laces at 3 am is beyond my capabilities hahaha
Cool_ginge_12031 points1y ago
The Chelsea boots don’t have laces and are super cute!

the bistro clogs from crocs are amazing i love mine! non slip and i can wash them with soap and water :) and they have a blue lightning design on them :D
nicolelynnejones1 points1y ago
i don’t think those are technically allowed, but if our dress code was more lax i would def get those 😔

vans has a nonslip collection that are pretty affordable that ive been wanting to buy for ages (i probably will after i send this comment lol) but I’ve seen lots of people recommending them in this sub so far
nicolelynnejones1 points1y ago
i’m trying to stay away from cloth bcuz it never seems to dry out 😩
accountedthrowaway51 points1y ago
no no they’re not cloth! they’re some type of leather. here’s the link https://www.vans.com/shop/vans-made-for-makers/made-for-the-makers-20-classic-slip-on-uc-black-black
canidieyet_1 points1y ago
i second these! mine are sooo comfortable. my feet/back hardly hurt after a shift anymore
i have the canvas ones but i use the water & stain shield. i swear they look brand new even after 4 months, besides the bleach spots haha
accountedthrowaway51 points1y ago
you’ve convinced me to order them! i also want the canvas ones and im definitely gonna purchase the spray along with it. thanks!

i have the same issue with the smell. i’ve gone through 3 pairs of shoes (converse and vans) and they both smelt horrible after i started wearing them to work. doc martens are the only shoes i’ve found that don’t smell and they actually help w my knee pain
just_pig3on1 points1y ago
I love my pair from shoesforcrews they are affordable and have a quick return policy if the size you ordered wasn’t right. Mine are water proof, trip proof, non-slip, side ventilating, you name it. And they aren’t super ugly looking or anything
gisaiah951 points1y ago
The vans running shoes are super comfy, stylish and water resistant

OP asked for slip on and rubber or dries easily and nonslip and this is none of those things.
