You're right where I was a couple of years ago.
Your coworkers should definitely step up and help out, but for your own mental health, don't be afraid to say no if you really don't want to cover a shift. Starbucks will run you ragged, and when you find yourself burnt out from carrying the team, they'll still keep asking you for more.
Be gentle with yourself, and don't let them work you to death. It's just coffee.

Thank you 😭. I just feel too guilty which is so dumb because it's not even my responsibility but it always feels like it is. I'm also on the path to be a SSV and I want to prove myself I guess, even though I really don't have to at this point. I've always been a people pleaser and i hate it but I don't know how to fix it tbh. Thank you for the nice comment 😭💕

Thank you 😭😭 I'm actually taking a week paid vacation soon, I suggest u use those paid time off hours if you have them fs. I also said no to a shift and it was good!! I hope that you're able to get a bit of a break as well, you deserve it!! 💕💕

Yesterday was my Friday so I now have 2 days to recuperate before clean play on Sunday 😒 really it’s only one girl who is asking me to take her shifts so it’s not that bad.

Honestly it’s no one’s duty to pick up shifts. If you don’t have enough coverage it’s your SM’s fault and they need to step in to pick up the pieces/hire more staff. Stop saying yes - it sounds like you’re building up resentment towards your team. If you’d like to come in, say yes, if not say no. It’s not fair to expect others to read your mind - if you cover shifts a lot people might think you need the hours and be purposefully offering them to you, because you keep saying yes. ‘I’m sorry, I can’t’ is all you need to say!
If people really need days off they should let their SM know in advance and book them off as holiday, not be pushing their shifts on others.

Don't ever feel guilty about not picking up someone else's shift. Like the first comment said, take care of yourself. If you want the hours, sure, but make sure you're doing it for yourself and not for the good of the siren.
Most importantly, learn to say no. You don't need a reason, you don't need an excuse. If you aren't scheduled, there's no reason you have to be the one sacrificing your downtime. If no one else is willing, that's something your SM will have to address.
