Do I just not know how to make the drink right or does the customer just not know how to order? (self.starbucksbaristas)
submitted by Reneecarti
Yesterday was my first day back to work after a few months of not working, and I forgot how snappy some customers could be.

This customer had came in and asked for a tall mocha frappe but wanted the frappe to be extra thick. I know for the tall it gets 2 pumps of everything. Throughout the whole time I made her drink she watched me and kept calling out and rushing me despite our store being filled with customers that hour.

When she got her drink she came back in and started to make snarky comments towards me looking to start an argument over the way I made her drink claiming that I didn’t make the drink right, and how it has no mocha flavor it tastes like straight water.

But, if you want the drink to be thick doesn’t that mean it includes extra ice not light ice???
So I just want to know if I made the drink right or if she should have just asked for more mocha?

Yeah you made it right, extra ice makes it thicker and weaker tasting dont worry about that customer she was just taking her problems out on you. For my own sanity I have to imagine those customers are having the worst day of their lives and we made them feel better by being punching bags otherwise humanity is just horrible.

It's all good, I had a customer snap at me asking if their drinks were ready yet when they saw me accidentally pour an entire pitcher of passion tango tea on myself and the counter. Then got mad and stormed out when I told them no.

We have a lady who orders the pistachio Frappuccino with only 1/2 a pump of sauce for a venti. And basically every other day Karen (that is her name), complains about it being too sweet. Like ma’am maybe this isn’t the drink for you.
