i walked into our store today and, holy shot. plants EVERYWHERE. i’m not complaining because it looks super cute & everyone at my store loves plants (i’m like 95% sure half of them are fake, a couple are real). we’ve also got a “(store name) pup of the week!” board! i’m so excited, she’s buying us a polaroid to take pics with 🤍

she honestly is. we’ve had her for a week and she’s already gotten the store in the best shape it’s been in MONTHS.

a lot of us came in extra/stayed over to help out with cleaning and reorganizing. she ordered 5 different kinds of pizza to meet everyone’s dietary needs so no one was excluded from the “store dinner” haha

That's fantastic! Wonder if mine would let us put some out in the cafe.

Real ones might be a health code issue, I'd have to look it up, but adding some greenery (real or fake) makes it feel much calmer and home-style.

We’ve had live succulents in our lobby since the week before Valentine’s and so far nothings happened except the plants have grown 🤫 ask for forgiveness, not permission, esp with something so innocuous

Edit: our cc score has consistently gone up like 1-3 points per week since that week so I think the plants give off good vibes 🪴

There are restrictions on what you can have in the same space food or drinks are prepared. Even on a different counter.

Fake ones would probably be fine though!

We technically can’t have plants in the cafe so that may not last long unfortunately I was sad when they made us get rid of our stores coffee plant

The soil also is a good environment for gnats and other bugs to breed in. I’d imagine a plant is in the same category as “no standing water” in terms of health code violations. And if it’s open to customers, that’s just one more thing they can mess with. I worked in a coffee shop that had a fake plant and I saw a dude pouring his leftover coffee in it once lol

I can totally see siren customers dumping coffee in fake plants. Maybe I can find some tiny fake succulents where the pot is smaller than the fake greens
