i also recently just got fired (i also used to be a shift) and i feel for you… me and two of my fellow baristas got fired for some minuscule reason. no warnings, no write ups nothing, and they fired us one after another. yet store managers in my district be dating SVV and which ended up getting the dude promoted. this company sucks, i think they did me a favor ✌🏻it’s even funnier tho because i was POQ a month before i got fired 😂😂

when i did my write up for them. i gave very specific details and times, i basically made an entire time line of every fucked up thing that happened at my store. my manager was creepy af too. he told me about plucking his chest hairs in the shower and weird shit with his wife 🤢

That’s disgusting. But did they end up doing something about it or did they keep their job. I have a lot of partners who are fed up with our manager and she makes jokes about our partners and doesn’t let them be trainers or SSV. I’m thinking of suing the store because what she did was not fair and my emotional distress comes from the past issues I went through my store. I had transfers store because I was being bullied and harassed by all the partners in the other store. The treatment we get and the bs we have to deal is not fair.

no dead ass. me and my two friends got fired for standing around on the clock (on the cameras) even though we finished our work. RIDICULOUS. like a write up… okay. NOPE fired. all three of us. i had just transferred to this store and wasn’t there long, i’ve been with the company for 2 1/2 years. i talked to one of my old store managers and he thought i was messing with him. and yeah from what i have heard that’s been happening at my store things have been ROCKY. there was a lot of fucked up shit that was going on at my store and i kept my mouth shut and minded my business but NOPE i literally exposed all of them. my friend also called EC on them. literally everyone at that store loved us, people thought we were like pulling a prank when we told them we got fired. this company is fake and gross and i wasted a lot of time and stress worrying about shjt for nothing. i am not completely sure of the appeal process but i would definitely try.

I don’t want to work at a company like this anymore. I’m honestly sadden by the treatment she gave me. Same here all my partners where shock when I told them I got fired because the reason she gave me are not valid, like I didn’t get a write or anything. She straight up fired me. I never had a complaint from any customer or my partners. Everyone was comfortable and love working with me. I just don’t get it. I also kept my mouth quiet and never said anything because I wanted to stay away from the drama. The store became really toxic.

i was coerced into signing a statement that i went up to a customer in drive and cussed her out, which wasnt true. i had a squeaky clean record too, but nope. fired. i work at a LS now which is a lot better and less toxic but sometimes i really miss the real thing. EC didnt do shit for me btw

i was on the phone with ethics BEGGING them to believe my SM was out to get me, which she was. the night i called she told me she was sending my case up to HR and it didnt look good, next shift i was being sent on my way out like an animal, wouldnt even let me grab my own purse that i just put in the back since i technically didnt work there anymore. but your case seems so much more fight-able. i didnt cuss right at the customer but she was being so rude i did curse on the floor. try the labor board too try to file a wrongful termination/retaliation report

That’s not okay, I just don’t get why managers are so disgustingly rude towards us. I never did anything wrong and never had write ups or anything. But I’ll make sure EC hears my case and my voice. I won’t stay quiet. This is the second store that has done me dirty. And I’m sorry you had to go through that as well. The way they treat us is unbelievable.

if you believe you were wrongfully terminated, you can file a claim with the labor board of your state. If you want you job back, you can state that when you make that claim as well. Good Luck!

COVID coach says headache alone mean go home. Corporate takes that thing super seriously, so it will be a hard fight on wrongful termination.

But that partner lie the first time I did the COVID check in and when I went to back to open the tilts, she came to the back and sent me a picture about her covid. I had already talk to my manager and explain the situation. This happen two weeks ago. She brought it up again once I got fired. I wasn’t going to risk my team or anything like that. I know better and this situation got out of handle because of the partner going off at the manager and she lie about saying she told me she had a soar throat and that I force her to stay and work. My other worker heard the whole conversation and knows what happen. I told my manager how things happen and she told me she believe me because she knew how that partner was and that partner was trying to claim COVID leave when she had just came back. There’s more to it, but I didn’t force her or would let her stay if she really had COVID symptoms.
