Reloads are fast if you know how to do it in 1 transaction. I can get a reload done faster than you can shake an espresso :P
Just wrote up how to do it recently
$1:
1. Press Misc -> Reload Card
2. Type in the amount the person wants to reload (ex: $10)
3. Scan GC/App
4. Press the total amount button to go back to the tender screen
5. Type in the amount you put on the relaod (ex: $10)
6. Press the button for how they are going to pay for reload - Cash/Credit.
* Cash: You'll have to "hold" the cash for a moment (seems strange to hold it, but the cash automatically goes directly to the reload even before you put it in the till)
* Credit: The credit payment device will show the **reload total you just typed in**, not the total for the entire transaction now, tap/swipe card now
* at this point the reload money has already gone on to their app/GC!
8. Scan the GC/App again for the payment portion as it will have the new total on it
9. Till opens up for Cash
10. Receipt auto prints, 2x check the receipt to make sure it reloaded correctly and hand to customer
I can definitely do a sale with a reload faster than I can do a regular single sale with cash (and counting/handing out change). It's pretty quick once you get it locked in muscle memory.
