I think the issue is that his beard COULD pose an issue once he no longer needs a mask due to it not being as bundled up ya know. Idk how well a mask would contain a long beard but from the people I know who have beards it keeps them pretty tucked in. So having a long unkempt beard could potentially lead to lots of loose hair once set free lol
