Basically, our manager wants us to always have 2 full mocha backups along with 1 cbs backup. In addition, we keep 2 mochas on both bars and a cbs mocha. Since it expires so quickly, we never get through that much mocha in 1 day.
I’ve been making ~4 mochas each opening shift to keep up with the backups and night crew never washes the containers so I always have to clean them first, which takes forever.
How can I bring this up to my manager? I’ve mentioned it before but she brushed me off. What does your store do about mocha?

We usually make enough mocha for a full container for cold bar and hot bar for one day. like we don’t really go overboard with it especially since we’ll still have enough leftover at the end of the day. i think making 4 mochas a day is such a huge waste, that could easily be cut in half.

I closed usually So there would be a mocha prepared in the late mornings-afternoon and one that needs to be dump out at night. Cuz well 1 day. I get it if we get like a new, popular mocha drink sure. I’ll make a backup at night but if not then I’ll leave it empty and replace it with the new one

This is a big pet peeve of mine. I work on a cafe only store. I make mocha every morning and we never run out and we aren’t wasting full batches of mocha.

we keep one each day, and closing shift changes it in the evening, then mid shift makes a new one for closing to switch, and it works really well. i don’t believe we’ve ever run out and not had the next one ready 🤷♀️

We have a literal, physical, printed restock list. One side is pre-peak, the other side is for the rest of the day.
Typically pre-peak we have a CBS and backup on the counter, one full mocha on the counter, and two full backups.
The rest of the day we have one of each, and only a prep a full mocha backup.

If you're restocking throughout the day, someone will prep one if there's no backup. If the closers are in a good mood sometimes they make the extra one for the morning

I can assure you that the least sold drinks is the mocha. Unless its like a cookie crumble. Who needs that much mocha. No one likes dark mocha.
