As an opening ssv dealing with the new milk tracking system is a pain.

If your store is on it with ordering you should only be marking and rotating like 12 milks at absolute max at the end of the night. Any more then that and y’all are over ordering.

our usage fluctuates a lot so we kind of have to over order or else we run out. it’s happened a few times

It’s so stupid. What was wrong with the old way

Just curious, what don't you like about it? It's actually a lot less complicated than the milk math my store was doing before

as a closer, before i just had to rotate and count the milks at the end of the night. openers would count it in the morning and subtract to find the number we received. pretty simple to me. as a closing shift i really don’t have time to rotate and mark each individual milk jug. i also have short ass arms so reaching the milk in the very back on the top shelf is really hard. and the paint marker runs out super quickly too

Ah I see. Yeah we never ordered the marker so we still do it that way. We didn't have pars before so we were doing a lot of extra math every time.
If enough of you are frustrated, maybe ask your SM if you can do what we do?
CLOSER: count milks and write it in tomorrow's page
OPENER: count and do the math

that’s exactly what we did before and it was so much easier and less time consuming, at least as a closer. i’m not sure if it was easier for my openers before or now

You guys did the pseudo-par thing too? Finding and adding the usage for the next two days from the week before and then subtracting the on order drove me nuts. Way easier to have a static par that we can adapt to business
