god for a second I thought the first pic was the aforementioned vomit like I was really gonna ask if you called the poor bastard an ambulance
snugintthevoid 20 points 1y ago
I've not spilled anything at Starbucks yet, but at my first job I spilled all the oil from a big deep fryer on the floor. 🤗
dabsncats [OP] 9 points 1y ago
oh no that sounds awful! i hadn’t spilled anything in a while until that trenta iced coffee i spilled in the second pic. slid it onto the drive thru counter with a little too much force🙃
nebulochaos 2 points 1y ago
One of my first days I spilled a whole freshly-made 2L pitcher of sweet cream all over the floor. It was fantastic and I had NO IDEA what to do.
Independent-Ear9140 12 points 1y ago
we ran out of coffee filters and crème base 😭
Bribarista 10 points 1y ago
i spilt vsc in the ice bin during peak😭
Gh0st_W6lker 10 points 1y ago
Did you guys shutdown the store down? I remember when someone's kid threw up in our lobby we closed our store until bio-hazard came
dabsncats [OP] 22 points 1y ago
yes had to close the cafe until they could come clean it up. kind of a blessing in disguise haha
-Zispy 7 points 1y ago
I always worry that will happen as someone with emetophobia. I would have to leave
demac1997 5 points 1y ago
Oh I’d hide my waters and drinks in the back!
accountedthrowaway5 5 points 1y ago
it was my first Sunday morning experience, and also my last. the Drown that I was Drowning. the amount of huffs and puffs and eye rolls I received from customers who had to wait for their drinks because i was doing all of bar, and drive through, cafe, and mobiles were coming in every second i blinked. thankfully had some help to get the rush down, but im guessing Sunday was terrible for all of us :/ i hope you relax and enjoy some self care after everything
dabsncats [OP] 4 points 1y ago
jesus, i’m sorry. solo bar for sunday peak sounds rough. we had 4 ppl for peak and that was rough and even still we had 2 bars. yes, i hope you took some time to take care of yourself after that morning!
overturned23 4 points 1y ago
I would’ve quit
dabsncats [OP] 2 points 1y ago
definitely thought about it
PaleontologistLoud37 4 points 1y ago
i was on cold bar and someone had stacked one of the refresher inclusions on top of the little
holder and it fell off and knocked over 3 trenta cold brews 🥲
Tiredmombarista 3 points 1y ago
My Sunday was by far the worst day ever.
Fearless_While_9824 3 points 1y ago

J-cat_loves_dogs14 2 points 1y ago
So far no spills yet, but at my first job I spilled half a pan of red sauce, that was fun.

puke in the lobby: blessings in disguise
croissantboyy 2 points 1y ago
also spilled the whole backup mocha yesterday bc people don't know how to put shit down on a sturdy surface 😭
SeaOrganic37 2 points 1y ago
My bet is the phone was the cause of the mocha madness here
dallizzlee 2 points 1y ago
If you kids weren’t on those damn phones so much
dabsncats [OP] 1 points 1y ago
my coworker tripped over the crate from our order and dropped the mocha :( i’ll have to ask him if he was on the phone lol
mama_bibi 2 points 1y ago
If it makes you feel better the spill at drive counter happens at least once a day at my store
Starlex01 2 points 1y ago
The same as always.
As I work at the best selling store in my country, countless people come, you can't see the end of the queue, etc. Even before closing.
So briefly, busy as hell. And very stressful.
Hahahha
Necessary_Low939 2 points 1y ago
Damn.
dabsncats [OP] 5 points 1y ago
the funny part was that these 3 incidents all happened within like 5 minutes of each other
Necessary_Low939 3 points 1y ago
Might wanna check the feng shui lol. Sometimes things just goes wrong for some odd reason.

i am currently out of town and i was with some friends in a mall and they wanted something to drink so we went to the little starbucks in there. like whatever i’ll get a tea, so i got my drink and for like 2 minutes all was fine until i spilt it accidentally and oh my god it was so embarrassing i was like HOW AM I GONNA CLEAN THIS UP THEYRE IN A RUSH RN AND ITS ALL OVER THE FLOOR i ended up telling one of the baristas and she was sweet but i am traumatized. oh my lord
MeetingFull8885 1 points 1y ago
I got busy and distracted during a rush of tourists. Double brewed pike into one urn yesterday on accident. Then I Went to take the grinds out and the whole top was full of boiling liquid that gushed all over my hands. Wet grinds everywhere.
dabsncats [OP] 2 points 1y ago
noooo! that just happened to my coworker last week, hope you took care of any burns and get workers comp for any medical bills related to it!!
MeetingFull8885 2 points 1y ago
No burns thankfully!
One_Abalone6106 1 points 1y ago
Someone was stabbed in my friends lobby yesterday
dabsncats [OP] 1 points 1y ago
what in the world
One_Abalone6106 1 points 1y ago
Yeah she sent me a message saying that after the cops had everyone escorted out they shut down completely and eventually sent home. Luckily none of the baristas actually saw it happen, just saw the poor man bleed all over the lobby
