We got a new tip jar cause people can't keep their hands to themselves :)))))(i.redd.it)

Honestly, they should all be like this. I've never been comfortable with the jars being an open invitation for people to snatch a bill.

i feel like my store should get one of these 😅 we had a homeless guy steal $20 from our tip jar a few days ago right in front of the person on register while she was taking someone else’s order :/

We had one of these at each of our registers in the cafe of my store. Within a month, both of them had been smashed by people trying to get into them.

Wow what the fuck. The sheer entitlement from those customers >:(

I wish we had these. I’m tired of tips either getting stolen or the wind blowing the the cube away. We also have a very clumsy barista that always a) somehow drops the scanner on the ground (it’s been run over 5 times. i have no idea how it works.) or b) knocks the *full* tip jar off the ledge (or drops it under a car while trying to put change in since customers act like they can’t reach their arm out the window)…which then lets the bills fly away to some lucky person on their morning stroll. this happens weekly and we tell them BE CAREFUL. but they genuinely are so careless and have the audacity to complain about tips never being good

duuude it’s so annoying when people walk up and try and exchange bills from the tip jar without saying anything. i feel like i need a flyswatter to start swatting peoples hands

One dude got angry when I put a penny from the jar back into it when he wanted exact change. Like, he asked me why he couldn't use it and even said others let him but I kept saying no. Cause it's not your money and if you had maybe asked first I might've said yes

I have this guys opposite at my store. He always pays in exact change plus one dollar. Then has us keep the dollar. Didn't want to tip us just the change.

We would keep our tip cube on the outside metal counter at DTW. It kept getting stolen. Broad daylight. Line full of cars. During peak. Off peak. Dude would take it and RUN AWAY.
Now it stays inside, always.

Ours has been ripped off it's base twice now, in a low crime area. At least it makes a loud noise and spills out the bottom. Super embarrassing for the thieves.
